Sitesell Is More Than A Web Site
It's A Web Site That Works

A Sitesell website came along at a time when I took a leap of faith and decided to move my coaching practice online. As good fortune would have it I stumbled across a link to try my hand at building a Sitesell website. I had no idea what this website building process was all about and I really didn't have any experience building one from scratch.

In fact, I had no understanding of a lot of the techno-jargon like, "blogging" "HTML" "Metatags" etc. And yet I thought I needed to understand this stuff to do well with an online business especially if I would actually build a site from the ground up. Every website I ever owned was a template that I purchased with back office support allowing me to go in and change color schemes, look and feel etc. and that was the extent of my experience with creating websites.

I was really busy during the time I considered a SiteBuildIt! website and my main concern was the learning curve I anticipated having to overcome. I believed this posed a critical obstacle I wondered if I could overcome and get a handle on this new method of conducting business.

I wasn’t sure if my lack of online web experience would hinder me from creating a web site in a reasonable amount of time or not and I didn't know if the end result would be something I could feel proud of.

To tell you the truth had the initial investment not been so minor I probably would have given it a lot more thought and consideration than I did. In the end I believed I didn't have anything to lose. I'm one of those people who is somewhat leery about the wild, wild web. However, since the investment was so small I didn’t think twice about giving this a try ~ the way I saw it the cost of obtaining a potential business long term in light of the initial investment was what I typically would spend on a pair of shoes or a nice evening out.

The risk in my opinion was minimal as compared to the rewards.

Going through the lessons in the beginning was quite tedious because there was so much to learn. My son and I went through the process together and we both agreed the beginning was a little rigorous and as I finally settled into following my guide that proved to be critical to my overall success. I kept reminding myself not only was this a viable business opportunity but a fun way to share a lot of my thoughts and ideas for growing a business.

I reminded myself I wanted to be successful with this and that meant I had to commit to putting forth my best effort to realize long term benefits. Click here to view Sitesell,TV~~~>

I coach individuals towards increased productivity and now it was one of those times where I needed to coach myself. Whew, in the beginning it was tough! The information was not all that complicated, don't get me wrong, it was as if I was learning another language. Each day the training guide walked me through a step by step process and helped me put it all together.

She kept reminding me not to get ahead of her and to stay on task. If I remember correctly there was about ten days of lessons that I had to complete. But those days weren’t days in actual reality ... they were more like a couple of months before I saw real progress even to the point of deciding on my site concept and domain name. This was totally different from my other experiences with websites. Back then I remember simply thinking up a domain name that was catchy, you know, something I thought people could both remember and relate to. Boy was I all turned around.

I soon came to realize after patiently following my online, Sitesell guide, that I wasn’t unlike most people who go out get a website and waste a lot of money and time long term. I learned that the result most aspiring web builders get is a nice looking, flashy site that sits alone in cyberspace with little or no traffic. If you work on the tasks that your Sitesell guide gives you ~ I guarantee you won't experience this kind of loneliness with your Sitesell site. There's plenty of work to get done.

That experience reminded me of Realtors who conduct open houses on property on the market for sale and oftentimes the only visitors who show up are those nosy neighbors and most of the time involves sitting and waiting for any warm soul to stumble through. Or like during those days in the military when the rule of thumb was "hurry up and wait".

I hate waiting. But I was committed to the process and I stuck it out because as I mentioned earlier, I was looking for the long term benefits and I was committed to sticking it out. Still, remembering my investment was so low I figured I really had nothing to lose and everything to gain. That really helped me stay motivated to stay on task. Trust me I almost feel embarrassed to admit how little I knew which was in reality NOTHING about websites and the techno-jargon that most people around me seem to be so familiar with. So if I can do this and get good at it I believe anyone can.

My background is in construction so after a career in the military I decided to learn some new skills to test my limitations both mentally and spiritually so I became a real estate investor; after that a Realtor, Sales Manager, Trainer and now a Coach. I'm no stranger to taking risks and challenging myself.
Just like I was able to reframe my thoughts to move from one skill set to another I looked at this opportunity to build a Sitesell web presence in the same way ~ of course, doing different things requires learning different skill sets.

I’ve grown to become somewhat successful as a business man, coach and trainer. I found it intriguing to figure out how I could leverage the power of the internet to grow into other areas of business possibilities. So I didn't let my ignorance of the Internet deter me and with Sitesell guiding the way I was really encouraged to take my time during the overall process.

The proven philosophy here is to build slow. Consistently realizing incremental progress towards a content rich website that appeals to a predetermined target audience. You see, my goal starting out was to be in the position where I could share at least one idea with my visitors that would inspire them to seek new ways to stretch their possibilities. I don’t believe in hype or "get rich quick" schemes. I do believe in getting rich slow. In my opinion, schemes are a broke man’s proposition, it’s like having an insatiable appetite for a fix that never happens.

I invest the most part of my time learning business fundamentals and interacting with people face-to-face. Building a website according to the Sitesell methodology has become quite the challenge for me.

I remember when I first submitted my site to the various search engines and afterwards how discouraged I was when I didn't see immediate results for a period of time. As usual, my online guide encouraged me to work on defining and discovering more content leaving the technical heavy lifting to Sitesell.

I stayed focus allowing the process to materialize according to its own timeframe.

You see, once the light bulb went off in my head and I learned to trust those who had gone before me that's when I found it easier to allow the Sitesell team to handle all of the technical stuff. That freed me to research more ideas for content.

Heck, I knew I certainly couldn't make it go any faster. I regained my focus on doing the things I had control over. With renewed focus I went to work on my job to come up with more appealing content. To this day I'm still brainstorming for intriguing content and it still hasn't been a year yet.

The reality of this process became more real to me the day I was poking around the back office of my Sitesell site and I noticed my visitor traffic increasing. Just like my guide encouraged me it would ~ the momentum picked up. That got me really excited and I went to work even harder putting together more content.

That is the secret to building a website that works A sound model based upon real … Content. That is the primary driver of the process. I encourage anyone to take a look for herself. I believe one of the things my guide reminded me was the fact that all I needed to supply was BAM ... {Brains and Motivation} at first it sounded like a cliché ~ and I thought ... yeah right, whatever!

But as time went on I learned it was vital just like she told me. I recommend anyone to at least take a look. There are so many articles to read so much information to absorb. Enough material for proper and thorough due diligence to see if this is something that might be of interest. Even something to put to good business use. Share some of those ideas you are passionate about ... along the way you just might make some money! And always remember, it works, if you do!
